Hawaiian/Asian Fusion
AND MORE
DRAGON EGGS
This recipe is based on a Diner's, Drive-ins and Dives episode, which highlighted the Wild Thaiger restaurant. It's worth the time and effort, I promise.
Ingredients:
- 1 Pkg Wonton Wrappers
-1 lb ground pork
-1 pkg small raw shrimp (mince in food processor)
-1 can crab meat
-1 tbs sugar
-1/8 tsp vegetable oil
-1 tbs oyster sauce
-1 tbs Golden Mountain Sauce*
-1 egg
-Black pepper
-1 green onion (½” chop) for garnish
Dragon Egg Sauce:
-½ cup soy sauce
-½ cup vinegar
-¼ tsp Worcestershire Sauce
-½ cup sugar
- Mix together and let integrate before serving
Directions:
-mix all ingredients together
-put in center of wonton wrapper, pull corners together and seal
-deep fry for three minutes at 365 degrees and plate
-Drizzle Dragon Egg Sauce over top, add garnish and serve
* If you don't have a deep fryer, put enough oil in a wok or deep pan to cover "eggs" and fry for same length of time.
