Fried Chicken Liver

Ingredients:
- 1 container of Chicken Livers
- Enough milk to soak livers in their container
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup A/P flour
- 1 Tbs Cornstarch
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Enough vegetable oil in large saucepan to cover livers
Directions:
1. Empty chicken livers into colander and rinse container and livers with water
2. Trim all connective tissue and discolored meat
3. Replace livers in container, cover with milk and refrigerate at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (I’ve soaked for two days).
4. Heat oil to 375° in pan or deep fryer
5. Mix egg and ½ cup milk in a bowl
6. In a zip lock bag, mix flour, cornstarch, salt and pepper
7. Place livers in zip lock bag and shake until coated
8. Put livers in oil and cook until completely done
9. Remove to paper towel
10. Plate and serve with vegetables (I use stir-fried green beans)
