Lumpia
My wife's family owned and operated a curbside restaurant in Cebu, Philippines. Lumpia is essentially a

Philippine egg roll. The filling is ground pork and ground beef with vegetables and then deep fried to

golden brown and delicious.

Ingredients:
2 pkg egg roll wrappers
1 Pound of Ground Pork
1 Pound of 80/20 Ground Beef
1 Egg
4 tbs Soy Sauce
5 oz minced Carrots
8 oz minced Onions
1.5 oz minced Garlic.
½ Tbsp of Pepper Salt to Taste
Yields about 40 Lumpia.
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together with your hands.
- Place a heaping tablespoon of filling in the middle of wrapper.
- Spread filling in a row leaving space at each end.
- Roll wrapper around filling once and fold both ends in and then finish rolling and seal final edge of
wrapper with either water or egg white. (I use Egg Beaters or another brand)
You can either fry in a pan or deep fryer. I use a deep fryer at 350° until GB&D (golden brown and delicious).
