Hawaiian/Asian Fusion
AND MORE
Sweet & Spicy Chicken Soup
(with egg noodles)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Asian cooking stock *
- 3 cups water
- 1 tsp Chicken flavored powder
(I use Knorr brand)
- ½ tsp Chinese Five Spice
- 1 Tbs sugar
- 1 Tbs Fish Sauce
- 1 Tbs soy sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1 Tbs Sambal Oelek (or Chili Garlic Sauce)
- 1½ Tbs Chili pepper crisp
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper powder
- ½ cup sweet onions (sliced)
- ½ Medium carrot (julienned)
- 1 cup chopped Bok Choy (About one piece-large chop)
- 1 cup julienned cabbage (1½ - 2” long)
- ¼ cup Broccoli florets
- 2-3 oz cooked ½”cubed chicken breasts **
-1 - 1½ cups ex-wide egg noodles
Directions:
*** Prepare egg noodles according to instructions on package
1. Add water and Asian cooking stock to pot and bring to a rolling boil and
then reduce to a low boil.
2. Add the next 7 ingredients (seasonings) and return to a boil
3. Add the rest in order, Carrots, Cabbage, onions and chicken
4. Boil for about another two minutes
5. Add Broccoli Florets
6. Remove from heat, put in bowls, serve with a smile and enjoy.
